nonstop backup why only one backup?

Thread needs solution

The partition structure of my computer is as follows:

The storage for my nonstop backup is 'TBI NonStop BU 1'.

I am using nonstop backup on the other 3 TB partitions.  The first few minutes of the first time I used nonstop backup, I could see several entries under the partition recover tab, but from then on I could only see one, from a day to a month old.  What gives?

After a while, the slices of changes are consolidated into a single file, and new slices are created as needed if and when you have changes.

No, it is not like that for me. I have checked dozens of times since I started using non-stop backup, and at no time have I seen the advertised 5 minute backups, the daily backups, or the monthly backups....except the one single most recent backup...which is sometimes yesterday, a week ago, or a month ago....at no time has there been more than one backup in spite of the advertised backup every 5 minutes...the one exception was 20 minutes after the very first full backup, I saw the 5 minute backups for the next 20 minutes (of course after the full backup was created).

John,

The NSB doesn't store the information in different files overtime, it consolidates into a single file, and still keeps track of the various versions. The consolidation of the slices is a long process, so it does it from time to time (24h).
Also, although there is a check for changes every 5mn, there is a slice creation only if there are changes.
You should see the various snapshot dates in the timeline explorer (click on recover from the NSB to see the timeline in the bottom of the window).
So, don't look at the files in storage, look at the timeline explorer.
