Nonstop recovery of .xls file produces zero length files

Thread needs solution

When I try to recover my excel files that have been saved through Nonstop Backup, instead of the size being 782 KB, I get a zero length file. This is repeatable for a several different Excel files.

Bottom line is that Nonstop Backup works for backup and not restore.

Hello all,

Thank you for posting, I will be happy to help.
Carl,
I would like to expand the idea provided by MudCrab. The issue has been addressed in the latest build of the program #7046. You can learn more on how to download the latest build in this article
But if you restore by the latest build the archive created with a previous build of the program, probably, the restored file will be corrupted also. You should recreate the archive by means of the latest build, after that the issue shouldn't be reproduced.
Your feedback concerning the issue is appreciated. We are looking forward to hearing back from you. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other questions do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.
Thank you.
