I am considering buying and installing Acronis True Image Backup and Security 2010 but I am a bit concerned about the possibility of the computer slowing down because of firewall or other conflicts with Norton 360. Does anyone have any experience of running the two products on the same machine at the same time?

I am running Windows 7 64 bit with an Intel quad core processor and 6 Gb RAM.

My understanding is that you should not run 2 products providing the same type of protection at the same time. That is, run only 1 firewall, 1 AV program, etc.

Seekforever is correct. The first thing the security component will tell you to do is uninstall any other AV/firewall program - this is made very clear in the documentation.

I am switching from Norton 360. Norton 360 will be uninstalled (I have ~20 days left).
