notifications via e-mail Acronis True Image 2013

Thread needs solution

Hello, i set acronis to send a notification via mail when the backup is complete. The e-mail that i receive is different from the configuration that i specified: in particular the object is not the same to the configuration that i applied. The object of the e-mail is "the file name of backup with complete successful" although i set up a different object. why does it happen?

When a backup occurs, you have two descriptive names.
First, there is the name of the actual backup tib file. This name can be found if you look inside your backup storage foder with the date and time of the backup.

Second, there is the task name (Acronis calls it a backup name) which can be the same or different (user choice). It is the "Backup name" (backup task name) that you see when you open the main WindowsTI progam.

These two names are often confused and mis-understood.
My recommendation is not to edit or change the task cofiguration. If changing needed, then create a new task with the correct setting and cease to use the old task.

Look at link #2 below and particularly illlustration 8 which shows where and how the name is assigned to the actual backup tib file. Continue to finalize the configuration of the new task and just before you click the SAVE button, then change or finalize the "BACKUP/TASK" name which is located at the bottom of the screen 18.
