novice in need of advice

Hi,
I've not used Acronis, or any other backup software for that matter, and am hoping that someone can give me some advice and pointers to start me in the right direction.
I recently bought a new Asus laptop, which is great, the trouble is it came stuffed full of garbage that I don't want, ok fair enough .... but these days you don't get a new Windows Installation disc, what you have is a hidden partition or several bootable discs that simply install all the crapware that you took out last time gets reinstalled. My question is can I, with Acronis, make a set of DVDs that I can reinstall from and that I just put in the computer and boot from the first one and when it does it's job it tells me to put in any subsequent discs. If this is possible can you point me in the direction of any tutorials that might explain how to do it.
