NSB - More tales of woe
The more I try to use NSB the more "special features" I find.
Aside from the initial problem I had with not being able to get through the initial NSB image creation, which required inexplicable folder exclusions, I can now expand the special features list with these discoveries:
1. AFCDPSRV faults when TI runs a normal scheduled image backup, turning NSB off
2. Time Explorer left-hand folder pane, the folder tree does not expand correctly; root level folder does not show sub-folders
3. NSB stops taking the 5 minute snapshots, even though the AFCDPSRV service is running and NSB shows that it is turned on - this is bad because there is no obvious sign of a problem
4. NSB continues to take snapshots but does not detect/ capture some file changes and I'm not talking about changes that occur between the 5 minute slices.
5. Possibly connected with (4), a file that still exists in My Documents no longer shows in the latest time slice in time explorer, you have to go back in time to find an entry for it or use the search. If you reboot the machine, the file then displays as expected in the latest time slice.
I'm now beyond submitting support tickets. It may be some comfort to Acronis that Genie-soft Timeline is not quite there either.
