Old backups removed but TI2013 keeps trying to open them

Thread needs solution

I did some clean up of my backup drive and removed old backups created by TI2013. Unfortunately, I should have probably removed them via TI2013, because now whenever a backup occurs, I get errors/timeouts when Acronis tries to open those old files. Note that these files have been removed from the backup list in TI2013, but I still get the errors. Any ideas on how to clean this up would be appreciated; because each failure waits for a timeout and it really stretches out the total time required by the task.

Here's an excerpt from the log file:

Uninstall the product, reboot, reinstall. This will reinitialize the database. You will have to recreate your backup tasks.

Sigh. When will Acronis allow one to export/import backup tasks so that we don't have to go through this pain every time the product must be uninstalled and reinstalled?

So there's no way to clear out the database without going through the uninstall / reinstall process?

In any case, thanks for the reply.

You could export your backup settings (see under tools), so that it is easier for you to recreate the backups.
You could try to just rename the database.xml file in c:\programdata\Acronis\trueimagehome\database folder and see if this fixes your issue, before going through the uninstall process.
