One-Click fails to run "because the task requires a user to be logged on"!

Thread needs solution

I was at a customer's for whom I purchased and installed TI Home 2010 (build 7,046). One-Click would not run from the shortcut icon on their Vista desktop. I forgot to click More Details, but have you seen this before?

Failed to run the task.
Cannot run the task because the task requires a user to be logged on.

Clearly I was logged on in order to click the shortcut. The backup destination was correct. I opened TI Home 2010 and ran a manual backup which seemed to run fine.

Hello Scott,

Let me assist you.

The program requires Windows authorization for a scheduled task execution. That is why you should enter your account name and password both to let Acronis True Image  log in to Windows with Administrator's rights and execute a scheduled task.

Could you please make sure that you're used a correct credentials. If you're absolutely sure that it is not the reason of the issue, then please collect AcronisInfo utility output and submit a request to support.

Please reply to this thread if you have any additional questions.

Thank you.
