Online backup catches

Thread needs solution

I thought I would give online backups a try, especially since we are preparing to move, and it would offer a good deal more protection against loss due to hardware issues.

But when I tried the backup, at night, it got to go gigs -- about 1/2 of a full image backup -- and then froze for some reason.

Is there some size limitation that is a problem? That not being the case, is there some way to either determine the problem, or protect against it? Obviously an incomplete backup would be of no use whatsoever, so I would have to find another option.

How much are you trying to backup up and how much storage space have you purchased? I think you get 1 month of 250gb with your purchase and then you have to pay.

Scott, what I usually end up with when I back up locally is, backing up a 300 gig partition that is 1/2 (150 gigs) full. I have 250 gigs of space allotted in my account, I believe, so that should work fine. A local backup usually takes a bit less than 75 gigs it seems.

I surely can't have it bombing out though, or what's the point?
