Online restore fails. Returns Empty .zip with no files. 14th May 2010
I am using the web interface to try to restore a single file.
Upon selecting the file, I select save to save the .zip file but when opening it afterwards, the .zip file is empty.

Hello Jason,
It appears that there is a problem with recovering just some of the files since the logs of web restore shows that the data is corrupted.
At the moment our QA Team is downloading the entire archive from the online storage servers to test the recovery locally to localize the exact root cause of the problem.
Could you please check if you can use the local client (Standalone Acronis Online Backup \ Acronis true Image Home 2010) to restore the problem files. I.e. please launch the local client (not web restore) and check if the same files which have issues with recovery via web restore can be restored via this local client.
I am looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.
Thank you.

I got the same problem when using the client. It turns out that some of my data did not backup correctly and has become corrupted. This is incredibly worrying when absolutely no error messages were reported during or after the scheduled backup task.
I have also had problems accessing the web based recovery from a browser. It seems the service goes down for days at a time.
The technical support is absolutely terrible - Even allowing for the language problems, basic diagnostics are not performed and I am usaully asked to try things which clearly have nothing to do with the actual problem! ie I can't recover a file from the web browser. Answer - Can you ping the server!
I think this has been a catalogue of disasters and I cannot trust this service any longer. For these reasons, I will not be reneiwing my contract and will try to get a refund.
