“Operation completed with errors.”
I set Acronis up to do regular Back-up Mondays and today I checked the log to find the following.
Error error code “1,13 (ox103F5)” followed by “Failed to open Acronis Secure Zone for exclusive access” and underneath that was, “Operation completed with errors.”
I have not looked to see if I can see any images/archives in the SZ using TI? Exposing my lack of knowledge I have to say that I have no idea what is meant by, "SZ or TI
I do not know if I created an image because I thought that if the Log said that there was a problem there was no point.
There was no defragmenting software running or A/V software performing a deep scan at the time TI tried to make an image?
I am using XP but I'm afraid that I don't know what is meant by, "Build of TI."
TI= True Image.
SZ = Secure Zone
I went into Acronis and although it seemed very slow in its oporation opened and all of the folders semed to be there although one folder only had a fraction of the files that I know should be there. My question is, "what does “Operation completed with errors.” mean" ?
My second question is, "what does one need to do to get an oporation completed without erros?
As you've discovered that files seem to be missing then it would seem in your case something did indeed interrupt the process.
The problem with the error message is that, like a lot of Acronis error messages are a ' catch all' so sometimes they can relate to something crucial and others it could for example just mean it wasn't able to send an email notification.
As you mention files, does this mean that we are talking about a Files and Folders backup or an actual image which ahs files missing in a folder?
Is this a scheduled task or one you ran manually?
What OS are you using, what file system NTFS or FAT32 and what version and build of TI do you have?
If this is a Files and Folders backup are you able to temporarily see if it works without error messages to another partition or hard drive?
Has TI ever made an image/backup without reporting errors?
How much free space do you have in the SZ?
It might be that the file system or one of the existing files/images has become corrupted, in which case chkdsk might need to be run on the SZ partition, however, that will require making it temporarily viewable by Windows.

1. Do you have any idea what would interrupt the process?
2. When I use th etrm "Folder" I mean the yellow folder which contains files.
3. When I use the term "File" I mean something like a letter of which a number may be contained in a folder.
4. I set the back-up task as a scheduled one because it seemed less trouble than to do it manually.
5. I use XP and am afraid that I have no idea what is meant by NTFS, FAT32 or what version and build of TI I have.
6. The back-up is not specifically a Files and Folders backup in that I thought that I set up waht I describe as a totall back-up.
7. I have not attempteted to see if it works without error messages to another partition or hard drive.

9. I have an external 1 Terabyte drive which shows a use of 162 Gb and 769 GB left.
10. Showing how thick I am could you tell me how to effect a "CHKDSK"
