With or without Acronis Universal Restore

Thread needs solution

Hi all,

I have a big question.

I use Acronis True Image Enterprise server for backing up my servers.
I made a test to restore a server on a VMWare Machine. The restore went ok. I can login to the server.
So, it's diferent hardware and I dont have instaled Acronis Universal Restore.

My question is what Acronis Universal Restore will do and if is worted to pay for it.

Thank you very much,
Gabriel

Hello Gabriel,

Thank you for using Acronis True Image

Acronis Universal Restore is required to restore the image of Windows operating system to another hardware configuration. It the implementation of the unique technology developed inside Acronis that allows changing Windows Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL.dll) and device drivers.  Acronis Universal Restore automatically detects if the HAL should be changed and also allows adding drivers for new hardware devices.
