OUTLOOK 2010 64 bits

Thread needs solution

Does Acronis True Image Home 2011 have a full compatibility with Outlook 2010 64 bits native?
I can't backup my e-mail when I use the Acronis' option.

Hello abbreizh,

Thank you very much for your post. I will definitely help you with your question.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience, but Acronis True Image 2010 Home does not support Outlook 2010, however, Acronis True Image 2011 Home does. Please check page 12 from our User Guide for additional information.

If you have additional questions, please let me know.

Thank you.

Acronis True Image Home 2011 does will not backup Outlook 2010 64 bit. I am running Windows 7 64 bit with Office Professional 2010 64 bit. When I configure ATIH 2011 to backup email, when the Outlook option is selected, nothing is shown as a sub-component of Outlook. When the back up runs, a pop up windows shows
"11/7/2010 12:21:33 PM Failed to copy file or folder ''. (0x1)"
The option to retry does not help, nor does the ignore option. The cancel button gets you out of the process and then the log output is as shown in the attached file.
To make sure the issue is with the 64 bit version, I uninstalled Office 2010 64 bit and installed the 32 bit version of Office 2010. I set up Outlook the exact same way. I then ran my previously installed ATIH2010, and deleted the old email backup jobs. I setup an email backup job, when Outlook is selected during the configuration, it shows options under the Outlook selection (not blank as is the case with use with Outlook 2010 64 bit). The real important part is that it works!

Hopefully Acronis will release an update to fix this issue as there are several postings about this and 64 bit OS and applications are here to stay.
