Partial Clone

Thread needs solution

My computer spends much time running at very HD activity, high CPU usage yet low to normal ram usage and and putting out lots of heat for no apparent reason. During these times all user work takes grinds to a painfully slow pace--keystrokes can require over a minute to show up on the command line or in a document. Exiting a document or program can take over 10 minutes--freezing up everything else until it is closed.

I am told that the problem is LIKELY 3-fold:
1.Corrupted operating system= Vista 64
2.Hard Drive too full
3.HP bloatware that came on my HP Pavilion tx2000 tablet notebook model# tx2-2697cl

I have reduced the HD clutter freeing up over 20% of it's capacity. With no relief.
I have purchased a new much larger HD with an SDD component that is supposed to be compatible with my machine.

My goals are to:
1: Install Windows-7 on the SDD component
2. Transfer all user programs, profiles and settings onto the new drive. I have lost several of the original install discs for these programs. So the cloning or a backup restore procedure seems to be my only options to move them and keep their functionality on the new drive.
3. Filter out all of the HP proprietary "Help"ware!

Is there a way that I can use Acronis 2014 to assist in or to accomplish these goals? I have looked thru the help and FAQ files on your website, but do not see anything that seems to fit all 3 of my goals.

On the Windows platforms, it is very hard to migrate programs without having to migrate the OS. Some users report success with programs like PC Mover from Laplink. Do your research. I have never used it.
Aconis True Image will not help with this problem.
