Partition Expert 2003 (TrueImage 2011)

Thread needs solution

Using Win XP SP3 on older Dell Dimension XPS 8300 with True Image 2011 and Partition Expert 2003.
Have drive C split into 3 drives -C-F-G. Need more space on -C- and tried to allocate more from F and G, but on reboot, after it goes through the "Analyzing".. then "Locking" and "Checking" (partitions) it gives an error "Unable to write disk 3disk1 sector 621860 (Retry, Ignore, ignore All) - but I cant get the keyboard or mouse to respond for input of either Retry or Ignore.. They are PS2 hardwired KB & Mouse..
Help Please? (Other than "take that antique to the dump"... LOL)

FYI-
While sitting around waiting to see if anyone could offer a solution, I tried a few things on my own:
Ran CHKDSK on all partitions, the report at the end on reboot appeared to show some bad sectors, errors or something but it disappeared faster than I could read it so I don't know what was fixed, if anything.
Plugged in a wireless USB KB/Mouse from another PC -as a 2nd input.
Ran Partition Expert again, committed and rebooted - same error as before.
As before, no reaction from the hardwired PS2 KB..
Just for giggles n grins I hit the "A" key (ignore All?) on the USB KB -and go figure, the prog took off like a cat in heat & started the process..
As Im writing this on another PC, Partition Expert is still working, at around 16% so far..
Hopefully this will do it.. but why did the USB KB work and not the wired KB..?
