PC freezes with either F11 or USB recovery

Hi,

A newbie and have reviewed the forum and Acronis help but not sure where to go next. I have installed the recovery manager onto USB (I can see the files on there are all ok) and also the F11 boot option. I have tried the F11 option but PC just freezes and id I boot from USB, the USB is accessed and I see the Acronis message, but again the PC freezes.

Hence I cannot trust the F11 or USB boot.

I have the latest Acronis updates and I am using a Dell X51 Win 8 64 bit all patched.
