Persistence of problem at System Shutdown

Hi,

I may be in the minority here but, actually, I like the new interface and find the execution of tasks to be much faster than with previous versions.

However, a problem remains which, quite clearly, has not yet been addressed by the Development Team:

Look for a thread entitled: Fix for "operations are in progress" during PC shutdown in Win Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1

My contribution appears near the bottom of page 2.

This, for me, is a showstopper and has occurred despite having disabled the Scheduler.

I have been a loyal customer for many years, but the apparent unwillingness to provide a solution is now threatening to drive me away.

Right now, I have uninstalled ATI while I consider what to do.
