Phantom drive in back up image

I have a striped array of 3 drives (c) and a back up drive (d). When I create an image on to the backup drive (d) of the Os drive (c) there is a drive (d) within that image. The image cannot be restored because Acronis tries to recover the (d) drive on to the (d) drive it is revovering the image from. The image is then corrupted after a few tries.

Please help
