Placement of recoveries

Thread needs solution

I have the WD version of Acronis, because I use WD drives. It shows as Acronis True Image 2013. Win 7 HP 32 bit.

Having had a total PC failure, I am trying to recover stuff I backed up.

I ask for More Options and get Explore All Images (?) and when that has initialised I am shown all the backed up stuff on various partitions that I backed up to.

I then select files I want to recover. In my case a complete folder of ripped (but owned by me!) DVDs. I have a formatted drive ready to accept the recovery. Drive E: in my case. I want the DVDs to be stored simply on the root folder E:\.

But when I start the recovery, the destination is shown as "F:\DVD"s. This results in a folder "F:" being created on the E: drive then "DVDs", and all data will be stored under that.

Can I fix that? I did _not_ tick the option to recover to original path under recovery settings/options.

The next problem is that I then tried to recover a heap of iTunes CDs, from another drive. This time Acronis trioed to recover to F:\DVDs on my drive E: again, until I restarted Acronis, at which time it did give the right destination, but again with the unwanted "F:" as a folder on Drive E:.

Any help appreciated

Nick
