Please Help Me choose the Right Product

Thread needs solution

Please help me choose the right “BACKUP & RESTORE” product. My needs are not elaborate, but are very specific. CAN I ALL OF THIS (below) with True Image Home 2012?

I have some HP laptops running Windows 7 that I use for training purposes.

I need them to be “WIPED / CLEANED” [with DBAN]– after every class – so that new students will start from a default new / default EXACT IMAGE.

The internal laptop drives (SATA) have MULTIPLE PARTITIONS (C: D: & E:) … including a hidden partition.

I would like to create / copy of my Perfect HD IMAGE with multiple partitions to an attached USB 3.0 drive.

I would like to restore the duped / cloned “images” on the external USB 3 drives back onto the cleaned / wiped internal laptop drives.

VIP: The internal and external drives are DIFFERENT SIZES – so backing up AND restoring to different drive sizes is a must.

The restoration images need to be able to get back to the laptops in a “RAW” state. I will be using a DISK WIPING utiliy such as DBAN to reset the Laptop’s HD to zeros.

Before RESTORING—will I need to Partition the Drive First?????

OK, so there you have it. PLEASE let me know which of your product(s) I need to make this happen.

Thank you very much. I look forward to your reply.

Welcome,

True Image Home 2012 can do all of these things. I would suggest that you download the 30 day trial version and evaluate it for hardware compatibility and use for your particular requirements.

ATI will format disks that are unallocated or have been "zero filled" during the recovery process.  It is also possible to shrink or expand the size of a non-hidden, system or data partition if the new disk has enough free space to accomadate this.  You can actually change the size of any partition, but changing the size of OEM, hidden or restore type partitions is not recommended.

Please see this guide < Credit to Grover H for a detailed instructions on your particular usecase.
