PLEASE HELP - TI 2015 does not recognise IDE controller of Gigabyte H97N motherboard

Thread needs solution

Hello All,

I have been using Trueimage for many years. Generally it works superbly but from time to time I find that the boot CD will not recognise some new HD controller. Then I download a trial version of the latest product, install a copy of winXP, install the trial on that, make a new boot CD and often that solves the problem.

But Acronis seem to have broken this option by making the latest version only about 5MB i.e. it is only a loader stub.

I am trying to restore a Trueimage 2010 image backup onto a new computer with the above motherboard.

I can set the motherboard HD controller to be IDE, ACPI or RAID. I set it to IDE and that should work with most things.

But TI 2015 does not detect any hard disks.

The BIOS sees the HD OK - it is a 256GB Samsung SSD.

I don't have the expertise to generate the unix-based custom TI boot media.

To complicate things further, I cannot be sure of the TI version used to make my boot CD...

Could someone get me an ISO image of a current TI boot CD?

Once I have this machine set up (it is win7 pro) I will buy the latest TI because I will need that for backing it up, obviously.

My contact details are here: http://www.peter2000.co.uk/contact.html

Many thanks in advance.

Peter

Nobody reads this forum (again!). I solved this by putting the SSD in the original computer and using Trueimage 2010 to clone it!
