Plus Pack 2011 - Problem with Creating ISO

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I've installed Acronis Plus Pack 2011 (Build 6574) and followed instructions here http://kb.acronis.com/content/13641 to download WAIK 3.0 for Windows 7. I've successfully installed WAIK and followed KB article http://kb.acronis.com/de/node/13643 to create the appropriate x86 ISO.

After stepping through the wizard clicking on Proceed to finally create the ISO I get an error messages mentioning that a file bootmenu.bin is missing, see attached image.

What steps did I miss? When executing copype x86 j:\winpe_x86 the files are successfully copied, however, I couldn't find any bootmenu.bin inside the target directory. So where does Plus Pack search for this file?

cu,
Michael

I had the same issue and guessed that I made a mistake by placing the winpe_x86 directory somewhere other than the home directory of the C: drive/partition. Just to be sure, I started from scratch:
1) removed and reinstalled the Windows AIK toolkit to its default location,
2) reinstalled the Acronis plus pack to its default location,
3) brought up the Windows AIK Deployment Toolbox Command Prompt and specified the home folder of the C: drive:
copype x86 C:\winpe_x86
that's exactly what's in the article you mention (http://kb.acronis.com/de/node/13643).
4) started the Acronis WinPE ISO builder, continuing with exactly the steps 2-7 in that article.

My guess is that the PlusPack looks for bootmenu.bin in the same drive/partition as the ISO created in my step 3.

Best of luck!
