plus pack question

Thread needs solution

So i want to backup 2 pcs. I got ati 12 with pluspack and a regular ati 12.
I made a bootable media with the plus pack on pc1. (I guess the bootable media and the rescue media are the same?)
Do i need a second plus pack for pc2 to make a bootable/rescue media? Or does that one suffice?
And this bootable media will allow ke to restore to dissimilar hardware right?
Thanx.

Per the license agreement, you would need the Plus Pack purchased for each system you use the boot disk on.

The Plus Pack Rescue Media (also called - bootable media, standalone version, etc.) created on one system will work on other systems as well. It is not tied to a particular system.

If restoring to dissimilar hardware, you will need the disk controller drivers (and possibly the chipset drivers) in extracted (uncompressed form) for the Universal Restore procedure to work.

The Plus Pack has the Universal Restore feature, the standard version does not. This applies to both the installed program and the Rescue Media.

I am not sure about the driver part. Is there a guide available about that? Or about making a backup specificaly for restoring to dissimilar hardware and the resore proces itself?

But basicly 1 rescue disk suffices, no need to make 5 of them if you have 5 pc's ( examplative)

To be able to use Universal Restore, you should make a full disk (not partition) backup of the entire disk drive. It is a normal backup from True Image, but select the entire disk, not just the OS partition.

When performing the restore to new hardware, Universal Restore needs to be able to update the restored disk image with the correct drivers for the new hardware so that Windows can boot correctly.
