Plus Pack Universal Restore not doing its job

Thread needs solution

With the help of bin, bodgy and ementalo I finally got TI 2010 and Plus Pack working, I thought.

However, when used the Plus Pack recovery CD to restore a Win 7 64bit tib file from another machine to my Dell 1545 Inspiron thing seem to go fine but I got a message saying something like "pnp0c14 for Windows Home Premium cannot be found." (I had pointed to the location of the drivers when I started the Universal Restore.) I chose to ignore and finally got the message "Restore completed successfully." When I closed TI the system rebooted and I immediately got a oxc0000359 stop showing \Windows\System32\drivers\iastor.sys as the culprit. I don't understand what System 32 has do to with it. Both machines are 64 bit.

Will someone please give me some more help so that I can use Universal to transfer a complete Win 7 system to another machine?

Thank you very much.

Hello John,

I will help you to resolve this issue.

First of all, this BSOD is related to the lack of drivers for hard drive controller. But I was not able to find any reference to oxc0000359 code, so I kindly ask you to make a digital photo of the error screen so I can analyze it in more details.

iastor.sys is a driver for for Intel Matrix Storage, let's try to boot your system in Safe Mode:

The description of this process is given below:

1. When your computer restarts but before Windows launches, press F8.
On a computer that is configured for booting to multiple operating systems, you can press F8 when the boot menu appears.

2. Use the arrow keys to highlight the Safe Mode with Networking option, and then press ENTER.

Then please apply the instruction for unattended driver installation, as it described in this article. After that please reboot the PC and check whether the issue persists.

I'd like to make sure all your queries regarding Acronis products are resolved.
Additionally to this, you are welcome to ask me any other questions concerning Acronis, and I will assist you further.

Best regards,

This may not help, but when you pointed at the location of the new drivers, did you include the Dell Notebook System Software? Sometimes it doesn't matter, but if your source PC wasn't a Dell laptop it could maybe be an issue if you left it out.
