Hello Richard,

I understand your question and will do my best to give you clear explanation.

In case installation of plus pack completed successfully you should see the follow screen every time you launch the program

If you don’t see it please use the following step-by-step instructions for correct installation of Plus Pack addon.

Let me know if you can't install it or have some questions.

Thank you.

Hallo Dimitry,
thank you for your help.
I first updated TI 2010 to build 6053..oK
Then I installed PlusPack 6053 as written in Step-by-Step.
All seems to be good, I see the window: Installation ok,reboot! , but after rebooting PlusPack is not installed!
I also tried to disable Norton-Internet-Security, but all the same.

I don't get the correct splash screen either. In "about" under the help drop down list it does not state plus pack, but it is using the plus pack serial number.

Am I correct in assuming that the plus pack is only an unlocking of certain features and not a true add on separate package. Are there any items on the menu that will show correct plus pack install?

A few users have mentioned that they got the PP because of the Universal Restore feature but in the one instance I've seen, UR doesn't work.

I haven't tried it yet, but UR looks like it adds an option to install drivers during the restore. I've been thinking about a motherboard change in the near future - couple of months, it should provide a good test. I've always done the "uninstall all drivers on last boot, repair install with an XP cd". I don't have a slipstreamed xpsp3 cd made, so I hope UR works.

Dmitry,
I see that screen when booting from the recovery CD, but NOT when launching TI from within Windows.

UPDATE :

The option for Universal Restore DOES show up several steps into the Restore wizard in Windows.

Hallo Dimitry,
is this problem not yet solved or did you not have enough time to answer?
(I think there are many users with the same problem).

Are you able to test it to see if it actually works?

Well, I could test it ... but only on your PC. :)
What's really strange is this - I created a rescue CD after installing the Plus Pack. When I boot from it the UR option shows up.
If I boot another PC with 2010/PP installed (using the same CD) the option DOES NOT appear.

Hello all,

I'm sorry for the delayed response.

Let me clarify this situation for you.

We have one common issue when Plus Pack is not displayed in the initial screen. Furthermore, it's not displayed in Help -> About product section (as you may know, it should display the second serial and add Plus Pack component to the name of the product). This happens when you're installing your Acronis True Image Home 2010 as the upgrade from previous version. This issue is well known, it was escalated to our Development, so most probably the fix will be available in one of next build.

Anyway, there's one simple way on how to check if Plus Pack is really installed on your PC.

On the Acronis True Image Home 2010 home screen, select Recover - My Disks:

Select the backup of your system partition that you would like to restore (in *.tib or *.vhd format):

Select Recover whole disks and partitions and Use Acronis Universal Restore (this option will only be displayed in Plus Pack is installed):

I'm sorry for the inconvenience in this situation.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

Best regards,
