pre command monitor off fails

Thread needs solution

Hello,
does anyone has a pre-command to switch the PC monitor off when ATIH 2011 starts backup automatically (scheduled) and which workes?
I have tried different cmd and bat commands, but ATIH hangs up always at the open cmd-window as for the PC the command is still active!
I am using on my Windows 7 x64 PC the command : "@echo off" and then "nircmd.exe monitor off". When testing this command in Acronis it works fine, but not later in "real life".
The forum is full of similar cmd/bat complaints but I was unable to find a working solution for my problen.
Can anyone please help me???

I suspect that the issues related to cmd/bat working when you test but not when the scheduled task runs are because of user rights; in interactive mode, ATI uses the user account to execute the command, but probably uses different credentials when running under the scheduler.

If you use the windows task scheduler for both your command and the ATI task, you should be able to work around this issue.

You can achieve the same result via manipulation of the power settings. I have a PDF which shows how.

How about scheduling the monitor to be switched off a few seconds before the scheduled backup starts.

I dont know if this would work but it would be easy to test.
