pre-purchase questions
I want to create an image of a dual boot PC such that I can restore it when I replace the hard drive.
I want to store the image on an external hard drive, connected by USB.
I do not wish to use "the cloud."
The default operating system is Linux Mint (Debian xfce 17.1). It is on an ext4 partition.
The other OS is Windows 7, on ntfs.
I assume I can install Acronis True Image for PC on the Windows partition and image the entire hard disk.
Will this software accomplish my objective? Do you see any potential problems?
Thank you.

This last link is quite a bit of reading but will give you a thorough understanding of the backup processes available within the application.
