I do not use 1 click backup. You lose control. I like to control what
I'm backing up and where it is backed up to and the name.

If you have TIH installed, start it up, and click the BACKUP button on the left.

Then click on Disk and Partition backup in the right on the screen that pops up.

Then follow the prompts to start the backup. Do not send the backup file to
your C drive. If you do and the C drive fails, you won't be able to get to
your backup.

Best practice demands that you have 2 drives: a C drive that you are going
to back up, and another drive (it can be USB attached) to backup to.

Did you create your recovery CD?

As for some help using guides, click on my index listed in my signature below. Check items both items in 7A, 7D & 7H as well as 2A, 2B & 2E.
The guides are for prior versions but the procedures are still pertinent. If you have some spare reading time, you will find many of the links useful.

As for Home not working. Suggest you do a repair install. Start the install program again and choose Repair.

Backups can also be performed when booted from the TIH Rescue CD.

What version of Windows are you using?
