Problem with back up after Office 2010 beta installed

Thread needs solution

Hi
I have used True Image 11 for some time but since installing the MS Office 2010 beta my back ups halt because they cannot access a new mystery local drive Q.

After some research I found that the "click-to-run" version of Office 2010 creates a "virtual drive Q" to allow the click-to-run feature to work. What I would like to know is whether there is any way of getting TI to complete scheduled backups without creating this error message. When I tell TI to ignore the error the backup finishes successfully - it's just a bit aggravating to get this message every time!

If there is no simple solution I will uninstall the beta and reinstall as the normal beta version (this means the software will sit on my C rather than be accessed from the web). I believe this will allow it to function without this "mystery drive".

Thanks for any advice.

Hello Jeremy,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.
Acronis True Image 11 Home is an outdated version, and we haven't tested its' compatibility with the MS Office 2010. However using Silent Mode may be the possible solution.
You can change Default backup options in the following way: Launch the software, Tools -> Options. Unfold Default backup options -> Error handling -> Do not show messages and dialogs while processing (silent mode).
You can enable this setting to ignore errors during backup operations. This feature also was mainly designed for unattended backups when you cannot control the backup process. In this mode no notifications will be displayed to you if errors occur during backup. Instead you can view the detailed log of all operations after the task finishes by selecting Tools -> Show Log.
Please let us know the results. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.
Thank you.
