Problem converting Acronis to Windows Backup if the destination is a Network path

I have the problem, when I try to convert a *.tib file to a *.vhd file and the destination path is on the network, I get nearly instantly the message "Acronis operation failed"
If I convert first to a lokal drive and then copy with explorer to the destination path it works.
But I really would prefere to avoid that additional step.
Does somebody might have a hint to avoid that additional step?
