Thread needs solution

Hello everyone ... I have a small problem with acronis when I go to restore an image on another machine. I put the check universal restore, but when I reboot I get the blue screen. why is this happening???

Did the blue screen include an error message or error code?

Did you add the drivers required for the new installation, when restoring?

when it comes out the blue screen is fast and I do not understand what is written. also how do I add the driver after recovery if the system does not have to??? the blue screen comes up during loading windows and then restarts.

Giancarlo,

What is the error number and message on the Blue Screen?

Are you certain you made a complete disk image? If you selected just partitions you might be missing some boot information.

Is this a modern PC (after Windows 8 released) or an older PC?

Is it a brand name PC, if so which one?

hello, error number, I do not see why it's fast. the disk image is correct because I also did the validation and gave ok. I also have also uploaded the image on another pc same as I did the picture and it worked. PCs are quite modern, although I do not know if you were born after Windows 8, but I guess not. it must be said that the image was created by a sun pc asus, but must be loaded on a pc acer, hp, toshiba, or otherwise. ok???
and if I used Acronis True Image 2012 instead of 2013??

Giancarlo,

Have you copied over the new drivers for your machine so that Universal Restore can find and install them?

They need to be in INF or CAB format.

If the driver CD of your new motherboard only has an exe file, you will need to see if you can extract the installer files from it or download them from the motherboard website.

hello, no I never downloaded the drivers for the new PC. To tell the truth I never happened when he can. it mandatory??? you have some screenshots please???

When doing Universal Restore to different hardware, you need drivers for the new PC. That's because the Windows installation in the backup would of course have drivers for your old hardware.

Some drivers can wait until Windows is running on the new PC. For example, video drivers. While the screen may look wonky with default drivers, you should be able to work with it. But, you'll need at least the Chipset drivers during the restore.
