Problem with Startup
I have a problem when i go to start up my computer. I can't get to my desktop or anything. It boots up and brings me to a screen that says and i will quote it here:
Starting Acronis Loader...
Press F11 for Acronis Startup Recovery Manager...
Type the name of the command interpreter (e.g., C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND.COM)
I have tried to press F11 but it does nothing at all. I am at a loss here. I have done everything from the symptom tree at the start up and anything I can access, but i can't get past this screen and any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not a total noob when it comes to this stuff so like i said, anything will help! Please!!! Thanks so much in advance!

I have tried putting my xp sp2 disk in, even though I have sp3, to see if I can just reload it, but i can tell it to boot from the cd drive, but it just sits there then goes to the same screen as before. And I have been using the Acronis True Image 11. And I'm not sure what reactivating the ASRM is.
This is all on Windows Xp sp3 on a Dell comp.

Check the BIOS and make sure the CD/DVD drive is set to boot before the hard drive. There may also be a Boot Menu key you can press at startup instead that will let you select which device to boot without needing to edit the BIOS settings.
Do you know for sure that the CD/DVD drive works? Perhaps it's having problems reading the discs.
ASRM = Acronis Startup Recovery Manager

Yes I have hit f12 to get to the boot menu and selected the cd drive to boot it from, and it gave a message quickly that said something along the lines of can't read disk, and then went back to this screen:
Starting Acronis Loader...
Press F11 for Acronis Startup Recovery Manager...
Type the name of the command interpreter (e.g., C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND.COM)

I would love to get past this scree to at least see my desktop and get all my info off the computer, or try to fix it or something.

Have you tried booting other CDs?
Will the computer boot from USB devices? You could put TI on a flash drive and see if you can boot it and fix the ASRM.
I'm assuming that you did previously have the ASRM activated. Is that correct?
Also, is it TI 11 or TI 2011?
