Problems in ATI Home 2010 with Task Cloning

Thread needs solution

Multiple times, I had been confronted with the situation that ATI Home 2010, Build 6'053 (I can only speak about that build, I never used other builds) deleted Backup Archives from its Pseudo-Database/Metadata. These Archive Backups were not appearing anymore in the main "Recovery" Windows of ATI. But the archive files were still existing in the Windows File system.

This was a mystery to me. Why where they disappearing from the "Recovery" Window? And why were the archive files still existing in the Windows File System (I do not complain about that – I was happy to see that at least the archive files were still existing – but the whole story was a mistery and I was losing confidence in ATI)

This kind of problems happened after my using of the "Cloning" of ATI Tasks. I therefore decided to do some more"Cloning" tests with the hope to find an explanation.

Edit: I forgot to mention, that the problem manifests itself also in an automatic consolidation of incremental backups, that is not supposed to happen.

The Problem (and a description on how to reproduce it reliably, at least on my PC) is included in the attached file.

I hope, that Acronis Support will read the attached detailed description of the problem.

Edited on 22.01.2010:
1) Today, I have reported the problem to Acronis Support
2) the file name of the attached file is confusing, because (in contrast to my initial assumptions) the problem does not seem related to any naming issues. Sorry for any confusion, that the file name might have created.

I gforgot to mention, that another symptom of the problem is an undesired automatic consolidation of incremental backup archives.
