Problems backing up a RAID O

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I've been trying to get TI to work properly since I bought it in June, but no luck thus far. I have TI 2009, and have been through all the updates and such, but still no luck.

My system runs Windows XP with a RAID 0 setup comprised of two 400GB drives equaling one 800GB drive, run through the motherboard. I am attempting to backup to an internal 1TB drive, whose sole purpose is for my backup.

When I  run the backup, it will progress 25% or so and will freeze to the point where I have to unplug my computer in order for the error to clear. This happens every time. The techs told me it is because the software doesn't recognize the RAID, so I have to inject drivers, but they aren't clear as to where I  should do this.

I've spoken to a tech through live chat several times, but they end up closing my case out. I've gone through PE Builder and done just about everything they've told me, but to be frank, it seems as though the techs are leaving a few steps out of the checklist, as nothing seems to work.

If you have any idea how I can fix this, please tell me. I'm all ears.

Hello Bailey Everett,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Could you please let me know the build number of the product, which you can find in the Help -> About dialog (it should be a 3 or 4 digit number)?

Also, could you please make a screenshot of the error and post it here?

If you are not familiar with making screen shots, please read the below step-by-step instructions.

- Get to the window which you want to make a screen shot of;
- Hit the (Alt+)PrintScreen button on your keyboard;
- Run Paint usually available in Start\Programs\Accessories or another graphics application;
- Choose Paste command in Edit menu;
- Save the result picture in JPEG format being preferable.

Could you please provide me with the exact sequence of actions that lead to the issue you report, so that I can reproduce it?

We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.

Alexander,

Thanks for getting back to me. The builder is 9709.

As for taking a screenshot of the error, I would be more than happy to, except that it never results in an error screen. My system freezes to the point where I physically have to remove the power cord in order to reboot. Not even holding the power button will work. There is no change in the backup screen. It just freezes at the progress bar.

The sequence is always the same. I have a scheduler set up so that it performs an incremental full system backup everyday, with a new, full system run either every week or month. The process starts fine and progresses until about 25% and then freezes the system completely. Nothing will shake the system free, save for pulling the power.

It has done this every time I've run the backup, regardless of priority or any other factor. I always ensure that few programs are running concurrently, but it never makes a difference.

I look forward to your thoughts,

Thanks,

Bailey

Alexander,

I haven't heard from you in a while. I hope you can be of assistance with my problem.

Thanks you.
