Problems with Recovery CD and Acronis 2010 Home

Thread needs solution

I have read where Acronis has had issues with the recovery CD and Dell machines but it was an older post 2009. I have a new Dell Vostro 230 and trying to image it before I start using it and I am having the same results, When the Dell machine boots from the CD, it loads the Acronis graphical interface briefly and then reboots. I have tried Acronis 2010 ver 6053 and ver 7046 with the same results. Booted from an Acronis 11 CD and it boots up. Is there a fix?

Return to your registration page and download the bootable media ISO file. Burn this iso file onto a CD as as image. The results will be an ISO bootable Acronis Recovery Cd with different drivers. This may work for you. Post your results. Other versions of the iSO is available from support.

Burned the bootable media ISO File and burned that to a CD. Tried booting from that and I get the same reults. Goes through everything gets to the 2010 splash screen and then starts to reboot.

Send a private message to support (link below) pointing to this thread and ask for a iso file which will work for you.
Supply your registration serial number.
