Problems with restoring backups
I have a PC with Windows 7 OS and Ubuntu OS. While I did not experienced problems in making Backups of Windows Partition and Ubuntu Partitions, I found it difficult to restore backupped Partitions. Opening True Image Home it shows the windows of the Backups I made (Attached 1). Wanting to restore the Ubuntu Partitions I clicked on the corresponding . A new window opened (Attached 2) in which I thought being able to indicate where to make the restore, but I did not find the way to do it. I waited 30 min but the window remained completely identical (Attached 3). Attached the 4, 5 and 6 show to the setted restore options. Without much conviction (because I had already found the Backup) I tried the option "Search Backup" (Attached 7, 8 and 9) selecting the Backup of the Ubuntu Partitions. Attached 10 and 11 show the window that opened and the same window after waiting for 20 min). After that I resolved to ask you if you be so kind to give me a step by step explanation on how to correctly restore a Backup. In particular I would like to know if the Restore can be made using True Image installed on Windows or it need to be made using the Recovery Live CD. Moreover I would like to know if the Backup must be validated before restoring it and, in the affirmative, which is the necessity of validation.
I'm waiting for your answer, many thanks in advance and best regards. I will gratefully acknowledge any further information.
