Problems updating True Image 2014
Just upgraded from True Image 2013 Plus Pack to True Image 2014 Premium, downloaded the software, installed , no problems so far. When I launched it for the first time got a notification that there was a new version of it, downloaded, installed but for some reason each time i launch the program it keeps telling me that there is a new version, this happened more than 5 times, any idea what's going on?
Thanks!

Whats the recommended installation method for upgrading from TrueImage 2013 to TrueImage 2014? Running the TI2014 installer when TI2013 not only hangs during install but leaves TI2013 non-functional (but still partially installed). I only got my system back to stable by performing a repair install of TI2013!

I would uninstall my current ATI, run the Acronis True Image Cleanup Utility, reboot and then install the new version. It may not be totally necessary in most cases, but it will avoid problems on many systems. In such a process, backup tasks would have to be recreated. Your existing backup images could remain as is, as they will be restorable using ATI 2014.

After the repair installation, your suggestion is pretty much what I did. I now have the software up and running, but I'll admit I was seating it a little for a while!

ATI will throw a hissy fit (abort the installation) if there is currently a backup task taking place (and possibly if one is scheduled to take place shortly). I had this happen when I updated to the release version of ATI 2014 from the last beta version. (There was a scheduled incremental back to cloud that either had started or was about to start). Unfortunately there is no notification in the system tray that a backup is taking place.
Did you restart the the computer? Frequently this is necessary for a software installation to complete, particulalry ones that are highly integrated with the OS like ATI.

I have a rolling back up to a network drive on the go, but I had already thought to let the current task finish naturally and then pause the back-up, so that was not the issue. And yes I had rebooted the PC.
Without manually uninstalling the software upgrade would not work. TI2014 seemed to attempt to try and uninstall TI2013, but something went wrong such that it was necessary to repair TI2013 before it was even possible to uninstall it!

I have been using 2013 without problems but tried to update to 2014 at first (two days) had a huge permissions problem that tech support could not correct after 2 hrs of messing around in my computer. Somehow I resolved that issue and managed to get it installed but now nothing happens when icon is clicked. Twice it loaded but was very buggy. I have spent 4 days trying to get this program to run without luck. To make matters worse my 2013 will not work either. I think this should have stayed in beta longer.

Rob,
Maybe you will want to restore a 2013 backup which will put 2013 back installed. Or,
Consider running the 2014 cleanup utility and do a fresh install of either 2013 or 2014.
Link inisde my signature.
If installing, Turn off your anti-virus and try doing the install as "Run as Administator".

I haven't found the cleanup utility but have used two uninstall programs plus swept the registry and hard drive of any notation of "acronis". Now I am back to the permissions problem. I have reset security levels to the max but no go. Looking for another program now.

In the past, moving up from New versions I have Fully Un-installed - Run Registry flush and then Re-installed like a New product each time
Maybe this is overkill but it has some success, first version I ran was 2009, and have bought fairly regular updates
So my method has been working for me ... just sharing
