Problems while restoring boot partitions with Win7 x64

Thread needs solution

Hi,
I am using True image 2012 at the latest built. I saved my boot partition being C:\ and tried to restore after a while because of a Win7 crash. I am using Win 7 Ultimate with all fixes in the x64 version.
The restore went well but the computer refused to boot after the restore reporting that no bootloader was present.
I wonder if it is because I did not save the partition (100MB) that Win7 creates at installation or if I missed any additional information.

Any ideas what went wrong?

Possibly so although that partition doesn't usually change over time. Try restoring each partiton if you have a full diskmode backup (always good to have on hand). The 100MB partition contains the boot manager (the equivalent of what was ntldr in XP). Also, check your boot order in the BIOS.
