Program automatically overwrite my backup when I do a restore
Perhaps I'm missing a setting or something but I can't figure out why this is happening...
I can have a full C: drive backup named something like OCT_2_2015 that I have just created before doing something risky to my computer.
Then, after realizing that I don't want to keep what I've just done to something like an upgrade, I go back and recover the OCT_02_2015 full backup.
After my recovered system comes up, I notice that in the taskbar Acronis is running and says that it's now 17% finished... Like...what the heck is going on?
So I abort the backup that it's doing only to find that it was overwriting my OCT_2_2015 backup.
If something happens now I don't have a backup to go get.
It seems to me as though when a program is messing up like this I shouldn't have to "pay" for an incident to let them know that things are screwed up.
Anyone have an idea of how to stop this from happening?
