This program is so buggy... I am giving up
I bought a Western Digital MyCloud EX2 4 TB NAS device to use as a local backup location. I heard good things about Acronis Trueimage, so I purchased it and installed it (build 6525) on a up-to-date Windows 7 system . I am an expert level user and systems guy. I build my own PCs from parts. After a couple of weeks of trying to get this program to consistently run scheduled backups... I am just ready to give up and go back to using Windows Backup. It is primitive compared to ATI 2015 but it works. I just can't trust ATI 2015. I am spending an inordinate amount time devoted to fixing broken backups. It is just a mess.
ATI 2015 has a dozen operational problems that stem from its inability to find and open the files on the WD server on a consistent basis. The symptoms vary depending on whether the ATI program is open or not when the the back is scheduled to run. Attached is a screen shot of the latest one. On this one I picked ignore and it started after that. But everyday I am having to nurse this program through all kinds of problems... mostly involved with finding the network server and successfully reading and writing to it. It doesn't seem to be able to deal with the sleeping Server.
I doubt it is the WD Server. It functions without a flaw with any other program in Windows 7. What a waste of money and my time.

Do plan on using the 2015 cleanup utility link below before attempting to re-install 2011.
The 2015 RecoveryCD can still be used for backups and restores of your exsting Tib files, but my preferance for restoring is to use the same version which created the original backup.

Thanks Grover,
I uninstalled 2015 and reinstalled 2011 without any problems. I have run two full validated backups... C disk and D disk. Both are on incremental weekly backup schemes for different days of the week. Everything seems to be working fine. Must I run the 2015 cleanup and reinstall 2011 or am I OK.
I got a clue to what may be the problem. 2011 asked me for my access userid and password to use the NAS device. 2015 never did that... except when it got false I/O error opening the NAS backup destination folder and then failed to remember them.
BTW... does 2011 ATI home let you install on your laptop as well as your desktop PC?

If all is working, don't do another uninstall.
The Aconis license is one license per computer so you need a different license for each computer.
Acronis also offers a family plan of one license for three computers.
