Putting Windows 8 into sleep mode after backup

Thread needs solution

Is there some way of putting Windows 8 back into sleep mode after the scheduler runs a backup? I have noticed that you can set the computer to shutdown within a backup scheme, but I only want it to go to sleep mode.

The sleep mode feature you talk about here is a part of the Windows power scheme and should occur as specified in that scheme following the backup procedure.

I agree - my power scheme is set to sleep after 30 mins of inactivity. However, my PC doesn't seem to go to sleep after a backup! That's why I wondered if a post command could be added to force Windows into sleep mode.

Do you have validation option occuring at time of backup creation? If so validation would run before sleep occurs.
