PXE boot the rescue media becomes trail?
Hi,
We are using the true image 2009 build 9770 for some time now. Great product en work well booting over pxe.
But now i have downloaded the latetest build 9806 and allso made a rescue cd. Put the kernel.dat and ramdisk.dat files into my pxe server like i did with the old version.
However when booting the 9806 build over pxe it will become a trail version. When booting over the cd it is a full version.
Is this a known problem? and how do i solve it?
Thanks.

Hello Jeroen and DwnNDrty!
Thank you for reporting about the issue and for your comments! I completely understand the issue you have faced and will be glad to help you!
Due to the lack of diagnostic information it is difficult to say for sure, but I assume that the issue occurred due to the problems with the *.dat files you uploaded to PXE. In order to resolve the problem let us change the binaries on your PXE to see whether the issue persists. I have just sent you the PM with the links to the needed files and Acronis Bootable Rescue Media (in case required).
Also please kindly note that Acronis Bootable Rescue Media on PXE is currently supported only in Acronis Backup and Recovery versions of the products, so we cannot guarantee the stability of work of PXE based on home version.
Still I would appreciate if you could kindly test the solution suggested and let me know the results.
Please do not hesitate to share you concerns and feedback with us, we will be glad to help you with every question!
Thank you in advance!

I encountered the same problem with Acronis TIH 2010. The installed version contains both *.dat files the downloaded version from my customer account contains only *.bin files in the .iso. Is there any solution or do I have to use my old 2009 Rescue Media?

Try the downloaded ISO file or the flash drive files. The files in those may work.
Otherwise, you may need to get the "unlocked" files (kernel.dat & ramdisk.dat) off the CD. This thread has instructions on this using UltraISO.

Hello HKKSD and MudCrab!
Thank you for your comments and many thanks to MudCrab for valuable assistance.
I regret to inform you that Acronis True Image Home 2011 doesn't have PXE functionality, thus we cannot guarantee that this scenario will work. You can really try MudCrab's suggestion, but in case it doesn't work either, we will not be able to help you with it. Since PXE functionality is not available in the product, our Development team never updated the components to work with it.
Be sure I've forwarded your request to the Management and Development teams, and they will check whether it's possible to implement this functionality in future releases.
Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!
Thank you!
