Raid 0

Hi Paul,
Depending on the OS, there is more than one way to accomplish this.

Some things to keep in mind.

Your current install will not likely include the correct storage drivers for a RAID configuration. So you can't just restore an image to the array and change the controllers operate mode in BIOS. The OS will need the correct storage drivers in order to boot successfully.

When two storage controllers are present, it's often possible to activate a RAID Controller in BIOS, install drivers, then restore a single disk image to the array, then enable/change BIOS settings.

This is not possible when the controller that you want to use is already installed and set to operate in a different mode.

The Plus Pack version or add on of ATIH includes the ability to restore images to dissimilar hardware. You'll need the correct controller drivers for the operate mode you want the system to boot from, in this case RAID. These are provided during the restore operation and incorporated into the registry and OS. An option to create a Win-PE boot environment also exists (plus pack only)

Generally speaking, there are other options you can find using Google. They all basically invovle making changes to the registry, repairing start up, and/or providing different storage drivers to get the new array booting properly.
