RAID 1 problem

Thread needs solution

I have a machine that was RAID 1 but had a motherboard fail. I installed a new motherboard and was able to make an image of one of the disks.
I then set up a motherboard supported RAID 1 configuration and restored the image using True Image 2014.
The problem is that I get an error message when trying to boot the system. However, if I break the mirror and tell the motherboard to treat the hard drives as IDE, Windows starts just fine.
I'm working with XP Pro here.
What would cause this with the individual disks working but not as a RAID setup?

Hello Art Ellison,

thank you for posting!

Could you please cite the error message here? How did you perform a restore to a new drive?

Thank you in advance for your answers!
