RAID conversion recommendation?

Thread needs solution

All,

I would like to convert my current configuration of 3 HD's in RAID 0 to 1 HD without RAID and the other 2 in RAID 0. Does anyone have any recommendations for streamlining the process?

Ideally I'd like to run a back up (using ATI Home 2010), make the changes, then restore my whole system. However, I'm afraid that this won't work since this will load the RAID driver's, etc. as if all 3 drives are in RAID.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Hello Douglas,

Let me assist you with this situation.

We do not expect any difficulties in this process. You will be able to create a backup of your RAID, then replace the hard drive, boot your PC from Standalone Version and restore the image to the new HDD.

Please note that your new HDD should be the same capacity of the entire RAID, otherwise you won't be able to recover to it.

Additionally to this, you are welcome to ask me any other questions concerning Acronis, and I will assist you further.

Regards,
