Raid disks showing up as single disks.
Hi All,
I’m running W7 64 bit on 2 SSD disks in a RAID 0 setup, which unfortunately don’t have TRIM enabled on them so want to box them up and return them for an upgrade.
I have made an image of my current system and stored it on my data disk which is separate, I then booted up using a boot disk, with the 2 SSD disks removed and replaced with 2 10k WD raptors in RAID 0. However whenever I try to restore the image it wont show the RAID disks, it simply shows 2 separate disks that are greyed out for use! (Probably due to the fact they are not striped, and are to small?)
I have tried to change the BIOS HDD setting i.e. IDE, ACPI etc....
Please can anyone suggest something?

Hello,
MudCrab, thank you very much for the assistance.
Daniel, let me help you. Most likely the issue is caused because your RAID setup was recognized incorrectly using a standard bootable media, so as MudCrab mentioned, I recommend you to download a special version of the boot CD with updated drivers.
- Log in to your account (if you do not have one, you will need to create it);
- Once logged in, click My Products & Downloads:
- Scroll down to the registered product and click Bootable Media:
- Click Download:
-
Acronis Bootable Media will be downloaded as an ISO file. See Burning an ISO Image.
If you're using the trial version of Acronis True Image Home 2010, please send me a Private Message and I'll provide you with a trial version of bootable ISO image.
We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.
Thank you.

Hi
Thanks for the posts. I couldnt log in earlier to reply, I have tried a few different scenarios and it still dosent want to work! I downloaded the latest boot disk version 7046 and burnt it to CD, then on loading Acronis it gave me three options: true image, True image log and windows, i tried loading true image and got the following only had the true image home option, no safe mode, however on trying to load it brings up error "Acronis true image home has detected unsupported hard disk drives. Acronis true image home does not support windows dynamic disks, EZ-drives etc."
I tried changing the drive mode to ACPI, IDE and RAID with no luck....
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Dan

Dan,
As in Post #1, for the SafeMedia version, you need to download the add-on from your Acronis account, install it, and then create a new TI CD (using TI) and include the SafeMedia version. The downloaded ISO version does not include the SafeMedia version.
It may be helpful if you posted a screenshot of what Disk Management shows for your drives and one of what TI shows when you try to restore.

Hello all,
Thank you for posting.
Daniel,
I would like to add to MudCrab's words that also we need Acronis report.
Download Acronis Report utility available here and run it, create a report and attach the file to your next post. Please compress the Acronis Report output file into an archive (e.g. with WinZip) and attach to your message by browsing for the archive.
This would provide us with detailed information on the hard disk partition structure.
We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other questions do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.
Thank you.
