Re-installing and activating Acronis TI 2014

Thread needs solution

I am, having a lot of trouble activating Acronis True Image 2014. This is because I have re installed following a mistake, which was that I inadvertently used Control Panel to uninstall the software that has been backing up my system for several months. The original installation was from a CD. I am at a second location, so I downloaded the software installation files and installed from the Internet. I am supposed to use the same key as before, which I kept in a secure file. I know it is the correct key since I verified it against my account information. (My account is jjcampbell@computer.org). I do not get an error message, but I also do not get the advance button. I get a choice to use the 16 bit key instead, which I dont' have. What should I do to correct this? There seems to be no way out at this point. Thanks for any advice you provide.

First, remove your account name. It serves no purpose and increase your chances of being spammed.

If you registered your 2014 into your aconis account, your required 64 character serial number is available from your account.
If 2014 was an upgrade rather than a standalone purchase, you will also need the serial number for the prior full version.
Depending upon whether you have spare licenses, you also have to disable your prior licensing in order to free the license for a fresh install.
