Read-error on disk 2 which is not part of the back-up

Running w7 64 bit and build 6525.
I made Back-up specs for a partition/diskbackup of disks C and D to my Sysnology NAS. C is a SSD and D is a WD disk. They are disks 0 and 1 in Diskmanagement of Windows.
When running the back-up, after some hours, I get an error stating Read-Error on Disk2.
In Disk management Disk 2 (and 3 and 4 and 5) is/are a USB-connected Card-reader.
Anybody any ideas?
