Recover Backup MBR to UEFI

Thread needs solution

Can anyone help me please?!
I have TI 2015, build 6613. My OS is Windows 10 64 Bit.
After a motherboard crisis, I am now at the status of:
* I have a backup of my C Drive made from the old motherboards which used an MBR (Legacy) drive
* I have a new Windows 10 running, based on UEFI
* I cannot restore the backup to the new drive.

If I boot direct to the rescue disk in UEFI mode and try to restore C (NOT incl the MBR), Acronis fails and also corrupts the working UEFI Windows. A reboot allows Windows to repair itself OK.
If I install Acronis on the UEFI Windows, then set to recover on reboot (F11) then the restore fails in the same manner.

Help desperately needed! Thanks

A day later:
* I have tried to follow this:http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ATI2015/index.html#2… but the notes do does not represent the actual situation: there is an added compulsory choice 'select target disk for MBR recovery', with the target disk greyed out as an option. Since there is nowhere for it to go, the restore will not progress.

All these years or buying TI and the one time that I want to use it 'in anger', it is of no use whatsoever!
