Recovered System Only works for one boot.

Thread needs solution

Guys,

This is crazy but true. I have a multi boot system. I had to restore one of the systems using the Acronis recovery cd. I did a full disk restore. I disconnected all disks except for the system being restored (a precaution I learned the hard way). The restore finished successfully. I rebooted and my restored Win7 system booted perfectly. I was very happy. Once finished booting the "You need to reboot now or later" message came up. I went ahead and rebooted and got the error attached. I tried several times and could not reboot. After lots of experimentation I found that the only time I could successfully reboot was immediately after restoring.

So, I can use my system only until I have to reboot and then have to restore.
Any ideas?

Thanks!!

Just a shot in the dark. Did you put the other disks back in the computer or are you booting with just the restored disk to test it before returning the other disks? Could the Win 7 system be dependent on one of the other disks (swap file or system protection space)? I've seen multi-boot systems get confused and do this without the user even knowing about it.
